What is YDSA? What do we do? Who we are?
YOUR DAD SELLS AVON QUEER RAVE & CHAT SHIT GET BANGED DISCO
YDSA Events is a unique nightlife brand based in Manchester. The focus is on amplifying the voices of Trans+, non-binary and POC individuals. Quickly becoming known on the Manchester scene offering a Rave and a Disco and contributing to the nightlife the first year has been a success. The brand has grown into an innovative, inclusive safe space for queer artists such as DJs, photographers, dancers, designers, and performers to practice their art and showcase their talent.
YDSA's creative platform is dedicated to providing an environment that celebrates diversity and encourages self-expression. This can be seen throughout the artwork of each event campaign. They heavily and exclusively feature the minority demographic groups mentioned.
The structure of the events are that they feature the best and most memorable people, ideas, aspects from past and present Queer nights in Manchester. "It is a Love Letter to Queer Manchester Nightlife".
Every season, the YDSA team pick a different LGBTQ charity to raise funds for and invite to the event. A pound from each final ticket sale is donated to the chosen charity on top of raising funds on the night.
We pay in Sterling not exposure.
All the performers and contributors to YDSA are paid a fair fee.

Even though Deaf Institute is a great venue and the perfect home for YDSA, we've had to rehome due to the expantion of the night and the growing love for the event. The new Home is Canvas which has a higher capacity and wider space for all you sexy ravers.
